At Seymour CSD, we believe students learn best when they feel safe, valued, and connected. As a Capturing Kids’ Hearts–driven district, we focus on building strong relationships, positive classroom culture, and leadership skills that help every student thrive—academically and personally.

On Thursday we held our Reality Check Day for our High School students. During this activity our students spent this time going through a budgeting and banking simulation. Students pick their career and their salary. They then go around to different booths with typical monthly expenses. At the end of the “month” they come back together to learn how to balance their register to their bank statement. Some students experience fraud situations and some experience overdrafts.

We’re currently hiring and would love for passionate, dedicated individuals to join the Seymour CSD team. If you’re looking for a rewarding career in education, this could be the perfect fit.

Another great CKH assembly! Today’s assembly highlighted our December theme of Responsibility. We appreciate the meaningful virtual message on responsibility provided by Vicky Decker. Congratulations to all of our recipients who were recognized today.
January’s monthly theme is Respect, and we look forward to seeing our Warriors continue to do their best this month!

Shopping for Parents' Day was a hit!
A huge thank you to our amazing community members for organizing this event. All students in grades PK–6 were able to shop for gifts for their parents or guardians.
In a season when we often think about what we’ll receive for Christmas, it was wonderful to shift the mindset to what can I give. Such a great experience for our students!
Special thanks to our community members for their time and donations, and to Mrs. Campbell and our FFA students for assisting as well.

Christmas trees were decorated by our elementary and high school students! Each tree has its own theme, and they are wonderful to look at. Great creativity and teamwork by our students!

Guess who made a visit to some classrooms today???? 🎅🎄 Santa!
Don’t worry — all of our kids are on the nice list! 😉✨ Merry Christmas! 🎁🎶

Bryn and Gabby were unable to attend our most recent CKH assembly, where they were recognized for being great teammates. Thankfully, we were able to find time to present them with their certificates from the teachers who nominated them. Great job, Bryn and Gabby!
