The learning doesn't stop when school is out. Several Seymour staff members are currently attending the Science of Reading Summit in Cedar Rapids. The goal is to gain new strategies to improve reading fluency and comprehension for our students.

We are excited to bring these new skills back to Seymour to help each student become a stronger reader.

Mr. Whitlow and Miss Miller's 8th-grade students put on a Wax Museum presentation for our elementary students. The 8th graders dressed up as historical American figures and shared fun facts and information with the elementary students. It was a great time and a fun learning experience. Great job to all of the students for their hard work!

On May 9th we had the opportunity of highlighting students who have shown great perseverance throughout the school year. Perseverance means the determination and willingness to keep going and pushing through obstacles when things get tough. It is about giving the extra effort required to achieve goals, bouncing back from setbacks, and never giving. Congratulations kids!
