The daughter of Scott and Angie Couchman, Miley shares a close bond with her siblings, Kaitlyn and Erynn, as well as her brother-in-law, Brendyn.
During her years at SHS, Miley has been involved in an impressive range of activities, including volleyball, basketball, softball, esports, TAG, National Honor Society, FCCLA, Class Officers, Student Council, 4-H, and Academic Bowl. Her commitment to both academics and extracurriculars highlights her strong work ethic and willingness to stay engaged in all aspects of school life.
Miley’s advice to incoming freshmen is straightforward but meaningful: be kind and respectful to everyone, even if you may not get along, and make sure to stay on top of your schoolwork.
After graduation, Miley plans to attend Simpson College, where she will pursue a degree in Psychology. Her long-term goal is to become a therapist, a path that reflects her interest in helping others and making a difference in people’s lives.

Seymour CSD offers the driver’s permit test in-house, which helps save families time, avoids scheduling challenges, and reduces missed class time for students.
If you have a student who needs to take the permit test, we encourage you to “skip the trip” and take advantage of this option at school.
