If you happen to be at the Iowa State Fair Wednesday or Thursday be sure to go support two of our students who are showing their livestock. Piper Jones will be showing her horse Boone on Wednesday and Chase Power will be showing his pigs on Thursday! Best of luck kids!

Youth tackle and flag football signups. Tackle is 4th grade-6th grade. Flag DK-3rd. Camp is August 6th and 7th at Corydon from 6:30-7:30. You can signup then or can fill these forms out and send to Tierra Shields or Josh Cobb. 641-344-9454.

For any littles and high schoolers who signed up for cheer!!! Practices will start Wednesday August 6th at 10-11:30am we will practice Monday, Wednesday, and Friday through the summer. This will give us 8 practices to get cheers memorized and routines going before school starts. When school starts practice days and times will change to 2-3 times a week after school. Please follow the Seymour cheerleading page for updates and information.

Reminder - School registration is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. If you are unable to attend, please call the school (898-2291) to schedule a time to get your child registered for the 2025/2026 school year.

Seymour Community School is seeking individuals to fill the following positions: Substitute teacher and associate.
Substitute teacher will make $160 a day! Substitute associates will be paid $12.25 per hour.

School starts next month, so we will be highlighting our staff! We would like to start with new Principal, Michael Moran! Mike says he decided to become an educator because school was a place he always felt comfortable and supported by the teachers and coaches surrounding him. The experience was so positive and memorable that he decided to make a career of it. He feels Seymour is a good fit for him because we have a strong reputation for community pride and school support! Mr. Moran lives in Wayne County and is excited for the opportunity to work here as well. While working at Seymour, he looks forward to building strong relationships with students, staff, and the community as well as learning and growing professionally. Michael and his wife Kelsey have been married since 2010 and have two daughters. Marrlee, who is 9 years old, and Maris, who is 3 years old. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Mike is also a proud alumnus of Northwest Missouri State University! Welcome to Seymour Michael! We are excited to see what the future holds with you!
